What a blessing for our group to receive the commissioning at our two church services this morning.
We were able to highlight the mission of Project Amazon and the goal to plant 1000 churches in the Amazon basin by 2014. We also thanked GEFC for their support and blessings - we will be taking school supplies, gifts for the village children and a great blessing for building supplies
We are already seeing the Lord and the evil one working for and against us in the days prior to our departure. The devil in that many "little distractions" are trying to pull us away from preparing our hearts and minds to serve in Brazil. But we know with faith and trust that the "one that is in us is greater than the one that is in the world." So God's plans will prevail.
As an area of praise - the trip and the planning process has opened conversations with many people about my faith and the opportunity to serve. I can see God's work in these conversations.
